NYC to Lancaster via Philadelphia

After enjoying the wonderful view of Times Square while eating breakfast for the last time we boarded the bus for the relatively short drive to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which, was our first stop of the day. Our local guide Pat, who was a very passionate historian took us on a tour where we heard about the establishment of the American Constitution and visited a number of key places including the grave site of Benjamin Franklin.

She then joined us on the bus, describing the important buildings and sites around the city, before we were taken to the Reading Terminal Market for lunch. Stephen and I enjoyed two of the local delicacies - a Cheesesteak Sandwich and a Beiler's donut. Both were delicious.

After lunch we continued on our journey to the city of Lancaster where we will spend the night at the Lancaster Arts Hotel.
